We have an exciting opportunity for a positive and proactive figure to play a key role in supporting digital researchers and improving the University’s capacity to share the full breadth of its unparalleled collections and world-leading research by providing a sustainable solution for our large-scale digital research projects in humanities disciplines and beyond.

The successful applicant will join the Sustainable Digital Scholarship (SDS) service and play a key role in leading the team and supporting researchers at the University. You will likely have had previous experience of managing a service or team, working directly alongside technical colleagues, with the ability to gain an understanding of what is required to run a successful service that offers support to researchers manage and host their research data and other outputs at the University.

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent organisation and analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders (including senior Academic & Research Staff). Excellent presentation skills and the ability to clearly promote and articulate the benefits of using a service to a diverse and new audience will be essential for this role. The applicants must be able to plan and organise team workloads and work to deadlines. A first degree in a subject or discipline relevant to digital research and/or humanities would be advantageous, but not essential.
