Study Digital Scholarship in Oxford

Researchers working in digital scholarship will draw on skills from a wide variety of disciplines. Here you'll find links to resources within the University of Oxford which offer training in key digital scholarship skills.  

  • The University’s IT learning centre offers training in a wide range of systems and skills that will be useful to digital scholars – from Excel and database training to  programming such as Python, PHP and Javascript
  • Bodleian Libraries LibGuides workshops are open to students and researchers, and cover research skills in areas like GIS and Open Access
  • The Taylor Institute offers a termly course, the Digital Editions course, in which participants will learn to create a digital edition of a text
  • The Department for Continuing Education offer a course in Digital Ethnography

The MSc in Digital Scholarship launched in Michaelmas term 2022, providing students with the skills to develop a digital scholarship project.
