On 4 July 2024, the Centre for Digital Scholarship, Bodleian Libraries, is hosting a Continued Professional Development event for secondary school teaching staff in Oxfordshire.
The programme, created by secondary teacher Jonny Tridgell, will focus on digital citizenship and how this relates to teaching in schools. By the end of the day, participants will understand the challenges and affordances that come from digitalisation and what is meant by digital citizenship. This will involve theoretical groundings and practical applications so participants will also be able to learn how to weave this knowledge into their curriculum. Participants are encouraged to bring laptops, curriculum maps and any other teaching material they might like to adapt.
The day also includes a tour of some of the Bodleian libraries and lunch is provided.
