The Workshop "Possibilities of Computer-Aided Analysis of Historical Correspondences" is being held by the research project "Correspondence of Theologians in the Southwest of the Empire in the Early Modern Period (1550-1620)" of the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Institute of Systems Design of the ETH Zurich from February 9 to 10, 2022. Its aim is a discussion between historians, theologians, computer specialists and data scientists focusing on questions from the perspective of the humanities on quantitative data analysis, on specific possibilities of data evaluation from the perspective of data science, and, finally, on the difficulties entailed in such analyses.
