Research Software Developers Network

This month, the Oxford Research Software Development Network (RSDN) will meet at the Bodleian Libraries’ Centre for Digital Scholarship (and online) for a session introducing the Digital Scholarship @Oxford initiative. The session is scheduled for 12:00 - 13:30 on Wednesday 29 November 2023, and will include a networking lunch for in-person participants.

The speakers will include David De Roure (Academic Director of DiSc), Imran Asif (Senior RSE, specialising in semantic data) and Alexander Shiarella (RSE, specialising in visualisation) as well as other members of the DiSc team. Between them, they will introduce their work and outline DiSc’s plans for growing its technical team and project commitments. The combined talks will take around 40 minutes, and will be followed by networking and lunch (provided).

The Centre for Digital Scholarship is in the Weston Library; it has limited capacity and is in a secure area of the building. As such, in-person places are limited to 20 (though we can and will provide online access to the talks!), and we ask that you gather in the Blackwell Hall of the Weston Library in time for 12:00 noon so that we can let you in - we will leave contact details at the information desk, in case you run late.

12:00-12:35 – Talks from members of the DiSc team
12:40-13:30 – Lunch and networking
