Join us at the Centre for Digital Scholarship on Wednesday 19 February to learn more about using Digital Bodleian with IIIF tools.

Digital Bodleian is built using a technology called the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF). IIIF is not only designed to facilitate image presentation but also to allow these images to be used in research processes. Led by Neil Jefferies, this session will provide a brief overview of how IIIF works, and demonstrate how it can be used to analyse and annotate images as part of a scholarly workflow.

Neil Jefferies specialises in digital innovation as part of the Open Scholarship Support team at the Bodleian Libraries. He was one of the co-creators of IIIF in 2010.

Session Requirements

Please bring a laptop with an up-to-date web browser. Attendees will also need an ORCID researcher ID to access some of the tools. Please go to the ORCID website to get an ORCID ID, or to link your existing one to your Oxford SSO.
