Nilo joined DiSc in February 2023 as Research Software Engineer – Data and Text. He is also Research Associate in corpus-based Digital Humanities at The Alan Turing Institute, within the Living with Machines project, where he works on the development of computational methods for querying and analysing large historical text corpora at scale. He is particularly interested in the intersections between humanities and data science, and in promoting and developing open scholarship practices in the humanities and social sciences. He studied Russian and English (BA) at the University of Pavia (Italy) and Slavonic Studies (MSt) at the University of Oxford, where he is currently finishing his DPhil in Linguistics.
